I have just tried Spirulina....

Whilst I have become interested in juicing and various other ways to moderate our diet so that we are healthy, lean and full of energy, I have come across all sorts of interesting things that I did not know about before.

The juicing programme I am on says to add a teaspoon of Spirulina powder ( and then blend well) to the juice or smoothie I am making.

At first, I just ignored it as I thought it sounded a bit strange, and the juices seemed to be doing enough good with out it.  Then I got curious, the more confident I got with making the juices, and so I took another look at this green powder that apparently holds so many benefits, and eventually yesterday I went and bought some.

So today I duly added a spoon of this Spirulina, and I must say it turns the whole thing a very dark green, but personally I didn't mind the taste, although I know some do.  I think it can be easily masked by the other ingredients, and that if the benefits are that good, then it's probably worth it!
